The original name of this blog "What's for Lunch" has been bothering me for a while. I really like the name but when I first chose it in March 2006 I hadn't done a proper search to see if anyone else was using it and also some of the people who were had not been blogging long and so they were perhaps not in the search engines. Now, I've been aware for a while that at least three other bloggers have "what's for lunch" in the titles of their blogs:
The Original What's for Lunch has been around since 2005
What's for Lunch Honey? came into existence in February of 2006
What's for Lunch is a French site that was also started in February 2006
and who knows how many more of them there are out there? It would be really helpful if there was a good search tool to avoid this happening.
Therefore, I am changing the name to Lunchtime in Paris. Unfortunately I can't change the name in the URL because I will lose all my links and photos (if someone knows how I can change without losing anything please let me know) but at least on this site the title will appear as "Lunchtime in Paris" - as far as I know no one else is using this and I really searched a lot.
We won't be able to modify our previous. We are not able to modification the simple fact that individuals will act in a very specific way. However the only factor we are able to do is play around the one particular string we've, and that's our perspective.

Hello Emily,
In the last few months, you may remember receiving an email invitation to become a part of the Foodbuzz Featured Publisher Program. With all the recipe-writing and food photography to be completed, we know emails can easily get lost in the shuffle, so Foodbuzz would like to re-extend our offer of inviting you to be a part of our food blogger network. I would love to send you more details about the program, so if you are interested, please email me at [email protected]
I love the new name.
Cheers!

Hi Emily - I concur with Ben....but whatever you will call your blog, I'll be there!

It's interesting to know there are other sites out there with that name -- "Lunchtime in Paris" is certainly more precise, so I think it's a better name. I'll change the title on my sidebar...

I would love to see a series on lunches from your desk (from everyone's desk all over the world too). Maybe you could send out a challenge to your readers - it's an interesting concept.
I think I stopped doing it because I found that I was going to have to feature the same lunch over and over and there are only so many ways you can shoot a ham and cheese on baguette...
Also, I am going to keep searching on this migration issue...I've seen sites where the link works and then you get automatic redirection but I'm not sure that is possible in my typepad situation.

Hi Emily:
As far as I am concerned, YOU are the original "What's for Lunch". I used to enjoy your simple post of your lunches from your desk. That gave me an idea ... I am going to do a series like yours one of these days.
You know, I have the somewhat of the same dilemma too. I want to migrate my Moveabletype blog to WordPress but it will mean I will lose a lot of the traffic Google brings to chowtimes. I tested the migration and found that most of the URLs will be changed in the process. There MUST be a way around this problem.
Great to see you bloggin again!
Ben
