My daughter's school project was changed to Friday so I had the camera today and it was a good thing because I got this excellent photo
It's officially spring in Paris! The grass is open in Parc Monceau and from now on when it's warm enough (and dry enough) I'll be able to take my shoes off and have a Déjeuner sur l'herbe (lunch on the lawn). The parc is beautiful so here's just another photo I got on my way home from work and then we get down to lunch.
And here's my lunch for today
A chicken tikka sandwich and a tarte aux fraises (strawberry tart). I got this at the very slow boulangerie; the lady at the cash register is so, so slow that there's always a line out the door reminiscent of buying foodstuffs in Soviet Russia. It's funny as well because they call the sandwich "chicken chika" and here is a close up.
Chicken tikka with tomatoe and lettuce on baguette. For dessert I asked for a rasberry tart but the server made a mistake (this is the very slow boulangerie) and so I got strawberry instead.
Here it is from another angle
That was nice! Tomorrow I'll be eating lunch out with some of my workmates and you can bet it will be delicious, so until then
Happy Lunching!
